Abram/Abraham WRIGHT and Naomi _____, had a son named
Jacob (10 Apr 1802-3 May 1881) who wed in Loudoun Co, VA
on 18 Nov 1823, Sarah CONARD (31 Mar 1808-14 Feb 1876) dau
of Jonathan CONARD & Elizabeth ______. So far as I know,
all the above died in Licking Co, OH
John Conard, Jr., (29 Jan 1770-30 Aug 1841)was a brother to
Jonathan, above, and his wife was Barbara Ann Smith (15 Feb
1769-3 Feb 1855). He could have been the 1829 purchaser OR
his son, John CONARD III (11 Jan 1797-5 May 1854) and his
wife Mary Margaret Christina Everhart (11 Dec 1800-9 Apr 68)
John III was my g-g-g-gf and he took his family to Jackson
Co., MO about 1851.
The Conards were millers and John, Sr., John, Jr. were both
very wealthy men. John, Jr. left each of his kids a farm
when he died. I do not know which John Conard, father or
son John III, bought the land, but the connection is that
John III and Sarah Conard Wright was that of first cousins,
and Sarah was a niece to John Conard, Jr.
The name CONARD rhymes with "honored." Hope this helps.
Any additions, corrections or criticisms welcomed.
Write anytime. Regards, Erik P. Conard---Denver
