Thank you for replying regarding the Shoemakers in Lovettsville, VA. Rudolf Schumacher came to America ion September 13, 1749 on the Ship Christian. By 1761 he was living in Loudoun Co., VA., near Lovettsville. close to the Potomac River, as they contracted to deliver tobacco and other produce annually to landings on that river. Rudolf was born in in 1693 Cleeborg, Alsace, Germany. He died in Frederick, Maryland.
His children that came with him were Jacob Shoemaker,
Daniel, Bartholomew, and wife Anna Barbara Shoemaker. I am from the Shoemakers around Galesburg, Missouri.
