Surnames: Davis
Evan, the elder, and the immigrant arrived here between 1701 and 1720.. He d in Philadelphia in 1747.(The Papers of Jefferson Davis by Cooper). Samuel, his older brother,settled near Philadelphia also, but moved to VA.( Beaux, Belles, and Brains of the 60's by DeLeon.)
I guess this only gives us a time frame.
Any thoughts?
