Seeking any information about George PETTIT son of Nathaniel PETTIT & Elizabeth HEATH, who was born in New Jersey, lived in southwest PA in the 1750's, had a wife named Sarah, and lived in Loudoun Co VA from approximately 1765 until his death ca 1775/1778. Also any other PETTITs who were in Loudoun Co during the late 1700's.

George & Sarah had a son named Amos who was in Loudoun Co in 1782 tax rolls, and who moved to Kentucky by 1793. Other possible but not proven children are Jeremiah who was in the 1790 census of Allegheny Co PA and in Lincoln Co KY in 1800, Matthew PETTIT 1760-1836 who was in Montgomery Co KY by 1808, and Matthew's sister Rebecca, who married a MITCHELL (prob Samuel) and was born in Virginia ca 1767 according to the 1850 and 1860 census.
