Re your request about Daniel Deskins who you believe was born in Loudon County Va. I do have some information about him. I am not a direct descendent, nor do I know who his parents were. I would like to find out. It would help me determine how he fits in with my John Deskins who was born in about 1727 in Essex Co Va. His father was Daniel who was born in 1698. He had a brother John, and a pair of cousins, named John and Daniel also. I suspect your Daniel belongs to one of them. I have a period between 1750 and 1770 where I can't tell who is who, because of the similar names. I do have your Daniel's revolutionary war pesion records, but they don't show his parents or where he was born. I figure he was born about 1760. I have quite abit of other information on Deskins' in that period. I would be glad to share any information with you, and of course I would like to see any informtion that might help me straighten out who was who among these Daniels and Johns.
