Who is Joel NICHOLS? In the 1850 Ohio census he is listed as being b. 1801 in VA. He has wife, Sarah, and children: Sarah M., Nancy, Emily, Joel N., James L. and one female whose name I can't read!

Elizabeth NICHOLS m. ca 1823 to James P. BRADFIELD probably in Loudoun Co., VA where they lived until ca 1835. They then settled in Knox Co., OH. In 1846 James P. BRADFIELD d. and one of the men who entered bond for the letters of Administration to James' estate settlement was Joel NICHOLS. Surely there is a family relationship between Elizabeth and Joel. . . . can anyone help?
