I was looking on ancestry.com for information on my great, great grandmother; Mary Catherine Gunnell, whose parents were John Gunnell (1763-1836) and Lucy Fleming (1772-1856), when I found an 1850 census record for Louisa Co. that had John & Lucy Gunnell. The only other person in the household was Albert Spicer, age 18. I found a Confederate widow's pension application for the widow of Albert T. Spicer who served in the 13th VA Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. He had died in 1872 when a bucket of stones accidently fell on him while he was working in a well. I was curious if anyone knew anything about this Albert Spicer and whether he was related to the Gunnell or Fleming families, or if he was just a boarder in the Gunnell household in 1850. Thanks in advance for any information.
