I can't put my finger on it right now, but before I forget to respond to this.....

I know, without a doubt, that on some census John W. Bull Smith is listed as being born in KY. I found it so unbelievable because of the distance !
In 1850 John W. Bull Smith is a 33 y/o Blacksmith in VA
In 1870 John W. Bull Smith is a 51 y/o farmer in VA

Since 99.9% of my relatives lived and died in Madison/Rappahanock counties, Virginia, I'm especially interested in pictures, stories, occupations. I guess they lived quietly.

Re: census...I love looking at the neighbors in the census records...Jenkins, Nicholson, Smith, Fincham, Dodson, Corbin....just repeats and repeats
