CORRECTION:

The land sold by Marsha A. Holmes was sold to Sam Sally & wife Milly, not Louis Salley and Dolly Holmes.

Sam Salley and wife Milly purchased a Deed of Mortgage on January 28, 1869 for $130 from Marsha A. Holmes. The mortgage was paid in full on February 25, 1870. On the side of the mortgage was written " this mortgage is satisfied in full February the 25th 1870, M.A. Holmes by G. W. Mallett. Received this mortgage _____ as her receipt on note given to a. Watts by Sam Salley & M.A. Holmes January 29, 1870. Signed by M.A. Holmes by G.W. Mallett, Clerk.
