Am interested in corresponding with anyone researching Mecklenburg's free families of color during the 1750-1860 period--surnames listed above. Am especially interested in charting the descendants of Thomas Cypress (fl. 1783-1810 in Mecklenburg; his son was presumably William Cypress who m. 1816 to Polly Thomas); Ephraim Drew (c1750-1818) and his brother John Drew (c1752-1827); the descendants of John Guy (d. c1827); and Frederick Ivey (d. 1821, m. 1795 to Priscilla "Prissy" Stewart, c1780-1856). Thanks in advance.
