Sure sounds like it. My Grandmother's name was Hjordis and she was born in Norway as was my Grandfather John. Which brother are you talking about? Tell me more! Please!

Hjørdis Bentsen was born in Skudenes in Norway in 1911. She was married to Johannes Iversen. They moved to USA and had 3 children: Janet, Jan and Bruce. They lived in Brooklyn, New Bedford, Point Pleasant and Cape May - all the time being fishermen.
I know that one of the boys drowned when his boat went down in a storm, but I don't know which of them.
Your grandmother’s sister – Borgny, my mother, is still alive, aged 89.
I know a lot about your Norwegian Family in Norway, but very little about what happened to those who went to the USA, even there where a lot of them.

Hello Georgia,Would appreciate a look up on Rosie Adkins Ward.She lived in Northampton County,VA.Rosie b.abt.1887 and d.1972 Looking for her exact death date month & day also trying to find a Obituary on Rosie.Rosie is buried in Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery in Marionville,VA.She married Walter E Ward Feb.3,1903 they had a daughter Annie Ward b.June 8,1904.Rosie parent's are George W & Virginia West.Any information will be greatly appreciated.Thanks Harry
