John was still living in 1651 but can't find any later record on him; I believe he died not long after that date.
Would you send me the precise references (Bk, page, date) for the gifts from Thomas Powell to Jeptha Johnson in 1657 and 1664, and the 1650 record for Clawse Johnson and John Powell. This actually sounds like John and Clause stole property from Col. Littleton.
Jeptha is presumed to be the illegitimate son of Clause Johnson he had by Elizabeth Smith, an indentured servant of Thomas powell's, whose service he sold to his son John by 28 July 1651 (referred to in testimony in a court case in Northampton).
