Years ago I went to the Stokes Co., NC courthouse and spent a day looking through what files I could find. I wrote down all the dob's I could find on Nelson and Mary's children. I hit a wall because I never could find out who Nelson's parents were and gave up. Now with the internet I have decided to give it a go again. I found this website that verifies a lot of what I had although it doesn't give dob's for all of their children.
