CANA, Va. - Mrs. Phyllis Mae Biddle Richardson, 62, of 615 Sunset Drive and wife of Mr. James Richardson, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at Northern Hospital of Surry County.
Mrs. Richardson was born in Heppner, Ore., on Feb. 23, 1939, to the late Otis and Alice Kirk Biddle.
She was employed with On the Way Food Stores in Cana.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. James Richardson of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Mickey and Tom Cossit of Oregon; five sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Richardson of Cana, James and Pamela Richardson of Sprague, Wash., Mike Richardson of Cana, and Bobby Richardson and Billy Richardson, both of Pendleton, Ore.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Genie and Leon Ball of Heppner, Ore., and Fern and Frank Adams of Pendleton, Ore.; and a brother and sister-in-law, Sonny and Sharon Biddle of Heppner, Ore. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Richardson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, conducted by the Rev. David Sechrist. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Saturday night at the funeral home where her body will remain until the hour of the service.
