I am in the process of plooting out all of the land patents and grants in the present county of Pittsylvania. These are the ORIGINAL grants from the government. If anyone would like to see what their ancestors land basically looked like (shape wise), and where it was, please feel free to email me. I should be able to cut and paste the plat, along with the boundary descriptions. So far, the grants, etc run from 1740's to about the 1840's.
