Classification: Query
Surnames: Bryan, Bryant, Thigpen, Chase
My great-great-grandmother is Fannie Mae Chase who died May of 1954 in D.C. and was buried at Lincoln Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland she was married to Charles Edward Chase (August 21, 1890 in PG MD-February, 1954 in DC) she was born Olivia Fannie Thigpen between 1891 and 1900 probably in Rocky Mount, Nash County, North Carolina though her birth has been recorded as District of Columbia. Olivia Fannie was born on a indian reservation because she was mixed with cherokee and black and MAYBE european. She left home at age twelve and her mother got rid of her and from an adoption she became Fannie Mae (?) Bryant or Bryan and moved to D.C. she married Charles Edward Chase on January 2, 1913 in D.C. Charles was colored so her parents disowned her , but apparently in records she was identified as COLORED, NEGRO, MULATTO OR BLACK. She lived on New York Ave SE DC, 918 Second St SE DC she had 17 kids: Julius, Myrtle, Charles L. (Died in infancy), Juanita (Middle name is Ethel), Grace, Melvin, Emanuel, Daniel, Betty, Leroy, Gloria, Gerald, Ernest and more? PLEASE HELP Cousin of Fannie was named Essie had granddaughter Esther
