Classification: Query
Surnames: Carter, Noakes
I'm also related to the Carters from Little Washington, VA and the Noakes from Culpeper, VA.
My grandmother is Dora Noakes
My great grandfather was Ernest Carter (b. 1903, m. Dora Noakes b. 1906)
His parents were Ernest? and Margaret
We believe they had 7 children:
Roosevelt (1 girl), Harry (m. Ethel Noakes 2 children moved to Pittsburgh, PA), Viola, Russell (adopted 1 child), Ernest (my ggrandfather), Levi? (not sure of his name but he had throat cancer), A Girl (we're looking to see if we can find her name, 1 child)
My ggg grandmother used to walk to my ggrandparent's house from her house with a cloth filled with stuff carried on a stick which I'm fortunately to have in my procession.

Please let me know if any of these names sound familiar and I would love to hear your lineage
