I have Y-DNA tested a descendent of this Harvey Hawkins line. I don't yet have his tree posted at the Hawkins surname project, but he is participant #220372, and this is Family Group #7 for all from this line. There is a very good Christmas sale going on now at Family Tree DNA, where I prefer to test. The Y-DNA is only for a male with the surname you are preferring to investigate. The Family Finder Test is for females and males alike and will connect you with cousins across all your lines. The test for ethnicity would be the mitochondrial test, that chromosome passes from the mother's side.
