Hello, I am seeking information on John Harvey Reed b 1806 unknown, died in 1839 Rockbridge VA. Married Mary Morris, d/o Benjamin Morris. Any information on Reed/Reid family appreciated. Mary Morris married Thomas S. Green abt 1840 and they migrated to Posey Co IN, Mary died there, Thomas and the children went to Franklin Co IL. Thomas returned to Rockbridge Co VA where he remarried, then later died there.

I am searching for info on g-grandfather, Milton Cameron and his brother, Stephen Cameron who were born in Rockbridge County, Virginia and later moved to Hawk's Nest in what is now West Virginia. Their father and mother were William and Margaret Cameron. The family later moved to Greenup County Kentucky and moved around in the Jackson, Eifort Ohio areas. I would like the marriage records of William and Margaret if possible hoping to find where William was born. I had been told Scotland but do not know.

Lucy, Thank you for checking on the Cameron's in Rockbridge County, VA. for me. I have found that Charles and Rachel Cameron may be the ancestors I am searching for. I have found that they were married on 3rd of May, 1792 and Charles died on July 14, 1829. What I need to know now are the names of their children; namely,if William who was born in 1797 and Stephen, who was born in 1805/06 are their children. The dates are right but I can find no evidence that Charles and Rachel are the parents of either. Do you have any source that I could go to find who Charles and Rachel's children are? I am attempting to locate information about Eleanor Jane Winegar b. 27 Dec 1821 in Rockbridge Co. Her father may have been John. She married in Ross Co. Ohio in 1838 so I assume the family left Virginia in the interim. I would appreicate any information you might have. Thank You.
