I am looking for an estate in this county in which there was a daughter of the decendent named Maria Magdalena (Mary Magdalena, just Magdalena, etc.), with a married name of ROUSH. John and Maria Magdalena ROUSH apparently lived in Rockingham Co., VA from 1790 to 1803 since their children were baptized at Friedens Lutheran & Reformed Church in that county. Researchers have been unable to find a marriage license for this couple in Shenandoah or Rockingham Counties. It turns out that some Rockingham County records were destroyed in a fire so estate records may be the only way to discover Maria Magdalena's surname. (There apparently aren't any surviving marriage records for Friedens Church.)
