Looking for any info on Francis Porter died 1839 in Molls Creek area of Russell County, Virginia. I am especially interested in Francis' grandson Cummins Porter born 1839 (possibly Russell Co.). Family folklore says that he killed his brother,in Russell County, who was the local sheriff. I haven't been able to find anything to prove or disprove this story, and thought somebody here might help. Thanks
