Yes, thank you! I would love to know what you learn from Squire's death certificate. If you have no luck with it, I will try the others.
Today I have been looking at the 2 Michael Larks in Russell Co. Our Michael was b. ca 1790 MD (1850 census) m. Nancy Duncan and the other Michael b. ca 1789 PA m. Elizabeth (Breeding acc. to some family trees). Both were on the 1820 & 1830 RC,VA census. In 1840 & 1850 ours was still in RC and the other in Scott Co. It would be really easy to get the children of these two Michaels mixed up.
Elizabeth, the wife of Michael Lark of Scott Co died bet 1850 & 1860. Michael (at age 74) m. May A. E. Noles on 26 Aug 1863 in Scott Co. She was listed as the d/o George W. & Mary S. Noles, and she was 23 yrs old. Michael's parents were listed as Chris & Elizabeth Lark. There was a Christopher Lark (over age 45) on the 1820 RC, VA census and I assume this was the same as Chris Lark.
It seems so unusual for two men with the same name and so close in age, to be from two different places and end up in the same place. I would just about bet there is a common ancestor somewhere back there.
I'm going to work on a list of the children of Michael of Scott Co. and see if I can sort through Lark descendants.
If you have done any research on any of this, or any suggestions, please let me know. :) Thanks! Peggy
