CLEARWATER, Fla. - Vada Ercelle Pierson Brewer, 91, of Clearwater, Fla., died Sunday morning (June 24, 2001) at Mariner Nursing Home after an extended illness.
She was born in Scott County, Va., and had made her home in Florida since 1964. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Hudson; sister, Oma Owens; half sister, Mary Richards; and a brother, Howard Pierson.
Surviving are three daughters, Evelyn Johnson and husband, John, and Erma Hudson, both of Florida, and Eva Seckler and husband, Joe, Pennsylvania; one son and daughter-in-law, Howard Hudson and wife, Linda, Kingsport; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport. Friends may call anytime at the residence of Howard Hudson at 4852 Curtis Court, Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Stout officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
