Maria's name is Mary Catherine DelaPlank, father is Dr. Jacque DelaPlank, mother is Catherine, gf Jean De la Planche. Sometimes Mary Catherine is Maria Catharina. Intersting stories easily found in google about this branch of the family. They were French Huguenots who fled France to Switzerland. Jacob and Mary (sometimes Catherine, also, b 1730-1767; 3rd child after Susanna) met in Berks County PA. She had a brother Frederick and 2 sisters, Susanna and Anna Marie (youngest b 1733).
In 1767 in Berks Co PA, Jacob m. Ottilla Schmidt, b 1744, dau of Charles Schmidt, b Germany. Jacob and "Tilley" had 12 children, most of whom you will find via St. Mary's, or "The Old Pine Church," near Mt Jackson Va. Mill Creek is basically the land you can see for a long way behind (west) the church. Jacob's last church is a few miles away SW, Solomon's Evangelical Lutheran Church (still there), where his good friend, Rev. Paul Henkle, held his funeral (d 9 May 1815). There are many tombstones in the church grave yard that cannot be read. In the 1990's I talked with the groundskeeper, Mr. Getz, and he had a plot map, but not all tombstones were readable, so many names were missing. He thought their graves were there, nearest the churc.building, with the older graves.
