I am looking for information on Joseph Henry Creger age 23 married Carolina Powers age 15 on 9/22/1853 in Smyth County. They had several children in Smyth County before moving to Fayette Co. WV after the civil war. The children were Elizabeth Clementine 8/1/1855, Crockett Winton Creger 4/19/1857, John B. Creger 1860, Mary Creger 1862. Joseph Henry Creger married Narcissa Johnson on 06 Oct 1851 (b) perhaps in Wythe County. I believe she must have died in childbirth. In the 1950 census Joseph Crieger, 21 lived with Henry (51) & Nancy (51) Huddle. The Huddles may be buried in the Huddle Family Cemetery about 2 1/2 miles southeast of Huddle Memorial Church, and on a hill west of the Henry Huddle home. HUDDLE, Henry, born Aug. 22, 1788, died Feb. 20, 1851. HUDDLE, Nancy, bornOct. 8, 1799, died Feb. 4, 1881 wife of Henry. Joseph Henry Creger was a blacksmith. He may have been an apprentice with Henry Huddle.
