One of my 4th gr-grandfathers was William Judkins, reputed to be the son of a Quaker in Surry Co., possibly John Judkins. His mother was Hannah Moody. He--William--married Margaret Wallace, and had 6 daughters and two sons: Jarrad and John (the boys), and Betsy, Martha, Hannah, Jane, Mary, and one more that I don't know (the daughters). Daughter Hannah Moody Judkins married my 3rd gr-grandfather, George Augustus Caesar Barham (yes, a mouthful). Their son Theophilus Gilliam Barham was my 2nd-gr-granddad, and Barhams up to my maternal grandmother. Hannah Moody Judkins Barham remarried after George A. C.'s early death, to Micajah Cole (the family were in Southampton at this point).
This William Judkins died in 1852 at age 77. I believe son John Judkins removed to Mississippi in the 1850s, along with ward--and nephew--Augustus Paul George Barham (brother of Theophilus, who usually went by "Paul"). I'm sure they're related to your Judkins line, but I won't pretend to know how! At present, I'm much better with the Barhams.
