I am searching for ANY reference to the HITCH (may be sp. HEATCH - not HEATH) family in Surry County prior to 1680. My Adam Hitch (1658/59-1731) may have come from there - possible father, William Hitch. I have one reference to William Hitch in Surry Co. in 1663 when he signed as a witness to 1663 order of the court regarding an orphan, Joseph Fisher on "29 7ber 1663." (Surry Co. VA Court Records 1652-1663, folio 215). Prior to that, I have a John HITCHy in James City Co. in 1624/25. A John Hitch bought a share in the VA Company of London in 1622.
