I haven't been able to find much of anything about the Maifelds before they arrived from Germany. There were two other sisters, Mathilda moved to Moscow around 1880 and Regina move to Rio de Janiero. One other brother, Wilhelm, remained in Germany.
Augusta is buried in the Waverly cemetery (the newer, larger section of the cemetery) on the back path. There is a set of about 5 stones marking graves that were moved from the Arnold property on Main St. when the housing development went in behind the house.
Amelia and her daughter Mathilda are buried in the Maifeld plot in the old part of the cemetery across the street. Amelia's sons and their families are near them as well.
