I am a descendent of a Reuben (Prewett, Pruett, Pruit). He was born in 1760 in KIng and Queen County Virginia and enlisted in the Revolutionary War and served with Coronel Parker's(?)regiment and was present at Yorktown when Cornwallis surrendered. I discovered this while in Richmond several years ago. Silas Preuett was appointed executor of his estate. Silas was born in 1790 and is buried in a corn field near Castilion Springs, Tennessee. I was hoping someone out there in Virginia could help me prove that Silas was Reuben's son.
