Ella Jane Dise was actually the daughter of Pathanna who was married to Gilbert M. Dise. Pathanna (Pothanna, Bothanna) was the half sister of my Great great grandfather, Nathaniel Payne. They came to Tangier during the civil war from Fredericksburg, VA. Their mother was Maria Elkins who was first married to John Benjamin Eskridge, and then William Thomas Payne. Hope this helps!
