Francis and Frances Awbrey were what is known as "Double 1st Cousins". Their fathers were brothers and their mothers were sisters. Frances did not have to change her maiden name since it was already Awbrey. Some of the Awbrey family is embarrassed by this as it may be concidered inbreeding in some circles.
