I am searching for the John King mentioned in this court case:
Abstracts of Court Orders, Wythe County VR book 975.5773P28k vol 2 June 9, 1812
Barbara Stroup in October 1812 charged John King with being the father of her son. John King was given a dismissal provided he pay the costs which literally meant that he was the father but would not provide for the child.
This John King could have been the son of William King (Koenig) of Wythe Co VR. I am told died between 1816 and 1818.
The son was John P King born about 1811 in Wythe County. His mother, Barbara Stroup, married William Fipps Jr shortly after this court case.
