"Cavaliers & Pioneers" by Nell Nugent Vol.111 p. 335 says "Hugh Naney" is listed among 131 persons in Edmund Jennings, Esq. Imp. 6513 acres, n. side of James River...thye date was Oct. 20, 1689....assume that Imp. means imported....and I thought he'd just arrived from Wales......but two years earlier, in 1687, he's in the York Co., Va. court records....
"An order against the sherriff is granted Hugh Naney for the nonappearance of George Glascock"...date January court, 1687
At court held February 24 of 1687, "Judgement is granted Hugh Nanny against George Glascock for 4. 15.- sterling"
Are there other records of how long Hugh Nanny was in York co.?....I have the name Hugh Nanny in 1701 Henrico land records...he was witnessing deed for George Archer and wife,
