Classification: Query
Surnames: HOUSE, JAECKLER, BUNGER
I suspect that our line will lead back to a gentleman by the name of Matthais or Matthew HOUSE who may have been born in Germany around 1739 and may have been a settler in the Germanna Colony. I believe the HOUSE family may have been allied by marriage to the BUNGER family also of the colony.
I have absolutely no personal research data on this gentleman and have only obtained the barest of clues via the internet. One researcher gave the birth year as 1739 and the death date as 1829. Matthais may be buried in the HOUSE family cemetery at the HOUSE Hollow Farm, near Slate Mills, in Madison County, Virginia. He may have married in Winchester Co., VA in 1762 to a Mary Margaretha JAECKLER.
Any insights into this gentleman's life, his connection to the colony or his origins would be very helpful. Thank you for reading this message and best wishes to you in your own research!
