My ancestor Rev James TAYLOR was the 'Rector'at St Asaph's Norfolk Virginia according to the family Bible. He had a daughter in 1786 in Perthshire SCT and that's all I know about him after 30 years research! It seems that his wife may have died in childbirth in Scotland as he was the only parent named in the records.

I don't even have a confirmation of which church it is today or of his time there. There were many James Taylors in Virginia at that time!

Question: Is anyone aware of this church's existance c.1800? Are there any records I could access?

I would be very grateful for any ideas.
