In 1910, Martin & Leona were living with two boys. The census said that Leona had two children and two were living.
So there would only be a connection if Leota was married to one of them and was daughter in law.
Maybe he was in the military which would explain the Engineer at Sea and maybe that he was awol, got married, lied about it and then got caught and that is why you there wasn't anything regarding him.
I am just throwing things out since I really don't know.
