I am searching for a branch of my family that migrated to Washington state (Douglas County) from North Carolina/Virginia around the turn of the century. They are Elzie K. Fritts (male), b. July 5, 1880 in Smyth County, VA. His wife was Sevilla E. b. February 2, 1881 (no location given). They had children Carroll, b. 1900, Bessie E., b. 1902, and Eugene, b. 1904. There may have been more children later. This info is per Eastern Cherokee Application dated Dec. 12, 1906. Elzie's mother, Malvina Thompson Fritts was born in Ashe County, NC and was a sister to my great-grandfather.
