Surnames: Dancs
Hello, I just read your post. Late reply but interesting.
My maternal grandfather also Lajos Dancs, likely born in Korlathelmecz, HU, but now in Ukraine.
His mother also Julianna (Illar) but I do not know her origin.
Lajos came to Canada in 1926, I think. I know he had brothers who emigrated to US...N.J. I believe.
Strange coincidence???
