James Asher CROCKETT served in the Rev. War; received bounty land in what was originally Kanawha Co. and later became Cabell and eventually Wayne Co., VA/WV. This land was on presumed to be on the Miller's Fork of Beech Fork of 12 Pole.

"Asher" CROCKETT m. Sarah BLANKENSHIP d/o Peter and Jemimah (PERDUE) BLANKENSHIP on Sep 11 1800 in Montgomery Co., VA. Between 1800 and 1804, Asher and Sarah settled in Kanawha/Cabell/Wayne Co., VA. They originally lived around Ona and then moved out to the Miller's Fork area.

Asher and Sarah had the following children:

Peter CROCKETT m. Nancy SPURLOCK Feb 18 1828 in Cabell Co.

Mary CROCKETT m.(possibly) William MILLER Feb 27 1829 in Cabell Co.

Charlotte CROCKETT m. Edward MILLER Nov 19 1838 in Cabell Co.

Elizabeth CROCKETT m. Joseph KELLY

Andrew Johnson CROCKETT m. Eliza BLANKENSHIP Sep 22 1834 in Lawrence Co., KY.
