Searching for descendents of Cynthia (Sinthe, Syntha) Richmond who married Robert L. Adkins in 1875 in Raleigh County. Cynthia's parents were Hugh Richmond and Sarah (Sallie) Dequasie of Raleigh County. Cynthia had two children, Annie Laurie Richmond (my great grandmother) and Nevel Grant Richmond at Pinch Gut, Raleigh County, abandoned Annie Laurie and Nevel to the care of her mother, married Robert Adkins and moved to Fayette County. She and Robert lived in Fayette County until her death in 1896. I believe she was a widow at the time of her death.

Robert appears to have been married before to Jane.

Robert and Cynthia Adkins had at least four children together: Virginia "Jennie" Adkins (married to Amos Kincaide), Hugh Caperton Adkins (married to Martha Florence Woodbridge), Sallie A Adkins (married to John William Bryson), and Cynthia Ann Adkins (married to Andrew Newton Adkins).
