Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. You see I do all of
my e-mailing at work, so work comes first. Also my computer has been down
some. They ran new lines to my computer so it will be directly on line
instead of going through a modem. Before I was actually getting my e-mail
on a co-workers computer, now I can do it all from my own. I noticed on an
old e-mail I saved that you say you are also related to a George W.
McBride. I think I tried to e-mail you once on this and it for some reason
came back to me. Anyway, you want to know about John McBride. I really
don't have a whole lot, but will give you what little research I have.

Capt. Alexander McBride was born Feb. 15,1759 in Ireland and died on May
15,1835 in Richland Co., Ohio. His wife Jean Reiney, was born May 1,1761
and died Feb. 3,1815 in Hampshire Co. VA. They were married on Jan. 1,1783
in Ireland.

Rev. Isaac McBride moved from Virginia (now W. VA) to Georgia on Aug.
17,1824. He moved to a better climate hoping to cure hi sever case of TB,
but he died shortly thereafter.

Joseph McBride was born on Feb. 14,1814. He married Elizabeth Ann
Henderson, dau. of Larkin Day & Elizabeth (Kess) Henderson, on Nov.
16,1837.

Mary McBride was born in 1812 at Cold Stream and died on July 16,1899 at
Slanesville. Her husband was John Moreland.

Robert McBride was born in 1762; died in Jan. 1850 in Hampshire Co. It is
believed that he married Nancy, widow of Thomas McBride in Jan. 1825.

Stephen McBride was born on Feb. 10,1759 and died Aug. 8,1837 in Columbiana
Co., Ohio. He lived in Frederick Co. Va. where he met and married Hannah
Smith, daughter of Capt. Jeremiah Smith, in 1781. She was born in
Frederick Co.,Va. and died Dec. 24,1823.

Thomas McBride was born in 1771 in Cullybackey, Ireland and died Apr.
27,1824 in Richland Co., Ohio. He married Mary Vicker, dau. of Duncan &
Jane (McConnell) McVicker, on March 9,1797. They were residents of
Hampshire Co. after the Rev. War.

Mary Saville, dau. of Abraham & Eliza (Haines) married Robert McBride. She
was born in 1827.
