Hi: I have been researching the Tams family and especially William Purviance Tams, Jr. and his brother, William Frazier Tams. Both of these brothers were working and involved with the mines at Tams, West Virginia. William Purviance Tams, Jr. and a friend started the mines and built the homes, etc. William Frazier Tams came a little later but was a manager for the mines. William Frazier died in a mining accident at Tams in 1942, not 1924. William Purviance Tams, Jr. died in a hospital in Beckley, WV in 1977, not 1972. I would love to know more about your information on the Tams family.

Thank you. Shelby Tackett
