Poster sherrjoy2all1 isn't able to help with Harry Fountain Nivison's wife Mary Nivison nee unknown since the database she uses only goes as far as the 1970's.

I'm hoping someone local to the Charleston area who has access to archived copies of the local paper will be able to look for and find an obit for Harry's wife Mary Nivison.

I don't know anything about Mary other than she was Harry's wife and the informant on his death certificate in 1955.

Mary Nivison d. Mar 1982 Charleston, Kanawha Co, WV; widow of Harry Fountain Nivison.

I've theorized that Mary maybe Winifred Decker whom Harry married on Staten Island, NY in 1915. Winifred's mother was named Mary and while I have no knowledge of a middle name for Winifred, Mary would certainly make sense for one. I've speculated in that case maybe Winifred didn't like her name & if she had a middle name of Mary, she used that instead.

If my speculations are right then possible information for Mary would be b. Oct 1894 Staten Island, NY to Adolphus Decker & wife Mary Emma Beasley.

Can someone help in finding this obit?
