Mildred C. Basnett, 93, of Ravenswood, died Dec. 31, 2011, at Eldercare of Ripley.

She was born Jan. 21, 1918, in Weston, W.Va., daughter of the late Thomas and Frey Darnell Clark.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Cedar Run United Methodist Church in Ravenswood. She was a past Worthy Matron in the Eastern Star No. 15; past Mother Advisor of Rainbow Cross of Colors; past treasurer for Cedar Run United Methodist Church; and past member of Ohio Valley Homemakers Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Fortner and husband, Ron, of Ravenswood; grandchildren, Timothy Fortner and wife, Angie, Ravenswood, Scott Fortner and wife, Susie, of Breckenridge, Colo., and Tamara Engevold of Portland, Ore.; great-grandchildren, Brad Fortner, Aleah Engevold and Madison Fortner; and great-great-grandson, Trenton Fortner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and brothers, Roscoe and Robley Clark.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Pastor Chris Skeens officiating. Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
