I found an 1880 Tazewell Co., VA census record for Elisha and his parents, William & Rebecca. Elisha's birth is listed at 1875 and there was a brother, Elijah, born in 1877. I found one record for Elisha Hess who married Rhoda J. Crawford on January 13, 1901 but his middle initial is listed as P. (It could be a typo but we wouldn't know for sure unless we saw the actual certificate.) Do you think this could be the correct one?
