Research for genealogical purposes is confined to records prior to Dec. 31,1930. You can do in person research at the Diocesan Archives at the WV Catholic Heritage Center 2000 Main St. Wheeling. If you know the parish where the sacrament was administered they may still have the records there. But 1830's will probably be at the Archives. For more information call (304)230-2079.
