Sara Bogert's [Bogard's] signature on receipt and bond 20 Oct 1746:
Eric Hedrick has again found some great material for his latest CD's - two exemplars of the signature of Sara - first widow Bogert, then widow Thorn (and later the wife of Adam Harpole per family researchers).
The widow of Johannes Bogard (Bogart, Bogert, etc) is clearly identified in a slightly unusual probate document in which she acknowledges receipt of certain items and monies from her husband's estate and in which she promises to not make any further claim against Able [sic] Westval [Westfall] and Anthony Bogird [sic], the executors of the estate.
A later signature by Sara appears on a bond in the probate of her next husband, Henry Thorn (aka Dorn, Doren), dated 27 Feb 1750/1.
The signatures are from the original documents (not recordings) and Eric digitized the full probate files for both men.
