This site has a compilation of data for early settlers on the South Branch:

A serious attempt has been made to sort entries from Chalkley's Chronicles of the Scots-Irish by settler and to add land data. There are additions by way of genealogy - and, unfortunately, there are quite a few errors. However, it's a good site to visit and compare notes for ancestors.

The link is for South Branch settlers (which includes the North and South Forks). Click on the blue highlighted name to go to the settler's page. Other areas of then Augusta County are also covered - go to the home page for a list. Usually the site can be visited without registration but sometimes if a new page is clicked, registration will be requested. It is a free site.
