Rev. John Rowan was a Methodist minister in Randolph County, VA (WVA). He migrated there from Maryland, where he had married Elizabeth Howard.

My descent is from Thomas Cornelius Howard Rowan who married Margaret (Peggy) Clark. I need more information, but it looks like Thomas died when my ancestor, William Clark Rowan, was a baby, as Peggy remarried a Nicholas Allman about three yrs after her marriage to Thomas and moved to Delaware/Morrow County, OH, where apparently William grew up, as he married there 1 Dec 1842, Almeda Dailey.

However, I have recently run across information that states Thomas Cornelius Howard Rowan married again, so I am left in a quandry. Any further information on this family would be most helpful. If I can help you with any Rowan info in Randolph, please contact me. I have burials
