Henry Lee Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, To all To whom these presents shall come Greeting: Know ye that by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant Number Eight thousand two hundred and Ninety Six, issued the first day of April One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty two, there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Henry Carr, a certain Tract or parcel of land, containing one hundred and Ten Acres, by Survey bearing date the first of January One thousand Seven hundred and eighty eight, lying and being in the County of Randolph, on the Waters of Read Creek, about four Miles from the Mountain, and one from the Creek, and is bounded as followeth to Wit, Beginning at a Maple and two White Hickories, South twenty three degrees East One hundred and Eighty poles to a Maple, Beech and Hickory, North fifty five degrees East forty eight poles to two Beech trees, North twenty five degrees East One hundred and twenty and twenty poles crossing a small Branch, running out to a Sugar tree and Beech, North forty five degrees West One hundred poles crossing two samll branches to a Ash, Lynn and Beech, South Sixty four degrees West Ninety eight poles to the Beginning With its appurtenances; To have and To hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said Henry Carr and his Heirs forever. In witness whereof the said Henry Lee Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be Affixed at Richmond, on the twentieth day of August, in the Year of our Lord, One thousand seven hundred and Ninety four, and of the Commonwealth the Nineteenth.
